Looking back...

Looking back to December 2007....almost exactly 2 years ago, and before I was an official blogger!:)
Where does the time go? The kiddos look so little!
CJ informed me today that I could be a grandma in about 7 years.....yikes! Not ready to wrap my head around that one yet!:)

Not sure how that happened, but it didn't deter us one bit from getting in the Christmas spirit! We'll post pictures of our handiwork soon.....there are still a few things left to do and a few things left to REDO! :)

Am going to enjoy it this year and work extra hard on not getting caught up in all the pomp and circumstance!

Our star "Quarter"

Kenna starred as "The Utah Quarter" in her 4th grade program this year. It has consumed her life for the past 6 weeks....she has worried, lamented, practiced, & talked non-stop about this 15 second role! We loved watching her shine on stage.....she did a great job!
An extra bonus was having Grandma & Grandpa there to watch.

I Love IT!
I have a ratty old chair sitting in my family room (as we speak)! My mom knows it well....and asks me why I keep it!
And the answer is....because ONE DAY I will learn to re-upholster furniture and it will be my "guinea pig project!"
One day my chair will be beautiful again....don't know when that day will come, but in the meantime, it sits "dwelling in possibility!" :)
Some days I feel just like my ratty old chair....rough around the edges but full of potential and possibility that will one day be discovered/ uncovered!:)

The sweetest words....

My mom's cousin Taffy (sadly) passed away last week....she was in her mid 60's and had suffered for years with illness. Her cute husband spoke at the funeral. The first words out of his mouth were.... "I'm crazy about that girl! Always have been, Always will be!"
I loved that.... it was truly the sweetest thing! I hope we're all as lucky as she was to LOVE & be LOVED like that!

Not the same without Spencer!

We had great seats at the Jazz vs. Rockets game Tuesday night! Just wasn't the same without Spencer (Nelson) playing. We'll keep our fingers crossed for him next year!
