A blog post without a picture!

Rarely! If ever, will you see a post on my blog without a picture!:)
I was doing a little blog-hoppin' and came across this quote.
I LOVE IT.

"They will be able to say, that she stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her away....and it surely has not....she adjusted her sails."
Elizabeth Edwards

I admire her strength. Great quote.

A Long Awaited Day FINALLY arrives....

Ooohhh Man! Who sends their kid to school looking like this? AND on the day of the long awaited puppet show performance! Carson has been talking about this day for a long time....you know, one of those MAJORLY important days in a first graders life. He did a great job! If only his mom had been present when he left for school...the hair, the tiny t-shirt, the ripped jeans. Maybe no one noticed but me!:)

How do they do that?

Downtown Bountiful had their annual sidewalk chalk drawing contest this last week. It is amazing! The drawings are beautiful...the photos don't really do them justice. Here's a few of our favorites:

My personal favorite is Ceej (looking homeless) under a tree in front of whisperwood. He could not quite wake up from his sunday afternoon nap-notice the flipflop on one foot and my old yard shoe on the other! Interesting! :)

Nobody loves their dad as much as these BOYS do!

Earlier last week we had been talking about taking a family vacation...this was Carson's response: "I just want to go to Father's & Son's with dad! That is way more funner then Hawaii or Disneyland! " I think someone LOVES their dad! :)

Here are the boys...just back from their father & son's outing!

A few of my favorite people....

Girl's Night Out with my favorite Springville gals got me thinking...:)

Friends come and go....SOME definitely stand the test of time.
You know the kind?!
those that stick with you through thick & thin,
influence who you are and what you want to become,
pick up right where you left off no matter how much time has passed since you last saw them,
help steer you in the right direction when life gets rough,
pick you up when you fall (without criticizing too much) :)
are happy for your successes,
encourage you to be better,
understand and tolerate your shortcomings,
praise your strengths,
make you laugh...

those are my favorite kind!:)
So here's to good friends (and a bit of a sappy...but sincere post) :)
I've been truly blessed to have such good friends in my life...many of whom are not pictured here, but know who you are!:)
