Still Friends...

Still friends after all these years.
We met Chris & Julie 18 yrs. ago when we were all newlyweds....without any kids.  Even though we've never lived in the same state together (since then) and we now have 9 kids between us, it's just like old times when we meet up.
I love friendships like that...where time and circumstance doesn't change the bond...you just pick right up where you left off.
It makes me think of how great heaven will be - to be able to see all the friends and family you've loved during your lifetime again.

40 is the scariest # in the world!

1 may be the loneliest # in the world,
but 40 is DeFiNItelY the SCARIEST # in the world!
And I would know!:)
The good news is, I survived. I faced it head-on and I think I might just live!
I'm pretty sure it's all downhill from here though!:)
I'll let you know!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

I'm a little bit country....

Between the rodeos, country concerts, goat washing at the Garlick's, and the county fair this summer...
I think you could say....I'm a little bit country now! :)

Meet Phineus and Ferb....and Carson.  These were our favorite pigs at the fair.  Ferb even WON Grand Champion!
The bulls were my favorite!

My Activity Day Girls

I have a new calling....a fun one at that!
I have the 9 yr. old activity day girls.
I love them. They're full of life and excited about EVERYTHING!
We went to Sister Garlick's house last week to help her get her goats ready for the county fair...we cleaned all their water troughs, watched them shave the goats, and played with all the animals (I'm sure that was a great help!) :)
It was so fun....and a first for me. I think I might kind of like goats now! :)

A good 1st day was had by all!

We made it. Whew! It's been a whirlwind summer and now it's nice to be back in school and on a schedule.
After school I asked the typical mom question...."How was it?" I waited with GREAT anticipation!
Carson: "We danced to Mama Mia! It was so Awesome!
Kenna: "I sat by a boy who picked his nose and wiped it under the desk all day."
C.J.: "I'm realizing I have a non-normal mom....in a good way!"

What???? Not what I expected from any of them!:)  Glad they're all happy with their teachers and friends!
Jace and I are looking forward to being HOME ALONE and I guess I'll work on being a normal mom....whatever that is!:)

It's Time!

Time for What???
Time for a change, time for a mini mid-life crisis, time for a nervous break-down...
whatever you want to call it, it's TIME for it!:)

So, instead of changing jobs, abandoning my family, moving out of the country, going on a wild shopping spree....
I think I'll change my hair!
I know, I'm a wild one!:)

Now, to decide what to do with it....that is the question!

Where did it go?

My blog background disappeared!
I had a cute argyle background  from
"cutest blog on the block".
It's gone! Where did it go?
I haven't changed anything!  Haven't pressed any buttons!:)
Any ideas for this computer challenged gal?

Jace did not like looking over the edge!
Gearing up for school shopping....
Loved Despicable Me.  Cute movie.
"Fim Waters".....translation...."Swim Waters."  That's Jace's way of saying he wants to go swimming...he speaks his own little language these days!
He SMILES!  Like his new hairdo?  He invented it himself on this trip....he's hoping to start a new trend when he gets home!
The kids loved all the "water mists" at the shops and restaurants...
Family!
Kenna and Great Grandma
Kennedie and Aunt Robynn
Grandma & Grandpa Turley & the kids!
Headed Home!
